Wooooooo Hooooooo!

Greetings to y'all.....Well I finally managed to tear myself away from Sihanoukville which I adored and will definitely be heading back there at some point in the near future....if it wasn't for being totally excited about Elaina pitching up I reckon I may still be stuck there but I had to head back to Bangkok and am of course deleriously happy to see Elaina and a jar of Marmite and Walkers Cheese and Onion Crisps!!!! On my way back I stayed the night in Trat which was totally uneventful but ok and after geting drenched crossing the border from Cambodia to Thailand I really didn't feel like moving much further anyway. I stayed in a cool guesthouse that had all the necessary requirements - beer, food and internet so that was fine and then headed back to Bangkok to await the arrival of Elaina....We got searched by the police at the bus station in Bangkok then got stuck on the bus to Khaosan Road in rush hour for two hours! Yippee!!!! Nowt changes! Anyway Elaina arrived on Sunday afternoon and is now well into the Thai way of things...got her hair braided on Khaosan and buying all sorts of goodies off the touts on the beach. I took her out on the Khaosan Road first night and we also met up with Gemma who she flew over with and her boyfriend and his bro who are travelling around Thailand at the mo.....

I had an amazing time that evening as I'VE GOT MARMITE!!!!! I am now officially in MARMITE HEAVEN!!!! And it gave the freaks that hang out on Khaosan something to look at seeing me walking down the road eating Marmite out of the jar!!!! I was fortunate enough to get a taste of the next best thing as Hamish indulged me with Vegemite on my last morning in Sihanoukville (much appreciated as it was - but we Poms know it's second rate and just not the same!!) It was a wicked evening as I got cards and stuff from people back home and there's a whole huge list of thank you's at the end of this to you all you lunatics who sent stuff and I'm totally touched and it made me really home sick (so thanks a lot!) So needless to say brekkie the next morning was a Marmite, toast and Cheese and Onion Crisps fest...yummy! I also received one of the most wicked birthday cards ever which is a recording of my great buddy Joy who recorded herself singing happy birthday with the darling doggies dulcit tones as backing vocals..it cracked me up and I love it so I can now listen to them singing to me whenever I want....

Anyway Elaina and I have now been on Koh Chang for a couple of days and spent the first night on White Sand Beach and then bailed yesterday to Lonely Beach which is wicked..our hut is about 15m from the sea and it's gorgeous (Jimbo cheers for the recommendation but Treehouse was full, but it did look really funky...we're at Siam Beach Bungalows) Lonely Beach is pretty chilled out and relaxing and so far we've been really adventurous and moved from the hut, to the beach, from the beach to the hut, from the hut to the bar and so on.... I think you get the picture.....Oh yeah and we've been getting tattooed too (DON"T PANIC MOTHER it's only Henna...Elaina's got a wicked gecko on her shoulder and I've got a kind of pattern type thing and some Chinese writing on my back...Amusing as it was at the time, I decided not to have a request for a good, hard man tattooed on my back!!! It was considered though!!! Tee hee!! This aftie we actually managed to escape the lure of the beach and headed up to White Sands to organise the trip tomorrow plus there was a really burly looking old bird with her baps out sitting next to us and quite frankly it was a bit of a shocker!!!!! Anyway tomorrow we're going on a reccie around the island and visiting waterfalls and doing a liccle trek and visiting some fishing village and other assorted stuff..one day of exertion and then a day on the beach to recover as we have to be back in Bangkok on Sunday night to collect Millie the Minx from the airport on Monday afternoon....Yipppeeee!!!(the tan's coming along rather nicely now - Hamish I am sooo definitely browner than you now!!)

So anyway I have burbled on enough so following is a list of HUGE thank you's to all the total loons that are my friends and relatives!!! I can't tell you how completely touched (and emotional) I was to receive all your letters and news and stuff it really means so much to me....(enough of that before I get emotional again).....

Parents and other assorted relatives - cheers for the money, it's gone on my diving course and that was one whole heap of fun I can tell ya!!...big big bubbles and thanks...and thanks for the cards....

Big and youngest Bro - Thanks for the letter and photos of the munchkins and thank Bex and Callum loads for the drawing..I'm stoked to hear Bex is being the independent little lady and following in Auntie's footsteps and going on holiday on her own at such a tender age..tell her I'm really proud of her and if she's not up to anything in her summer hols next year she can come and bum around Oz with Auntie....

Mum - Thank you soooo much for the underwear...it's awesome.... but I see however you've turned into a bit of a comedienne ....but thanks for reminding me of my heritage via the Union Jack thong - can't wait to show that to someone.....!!!??!!!

Joy - The card is awesome I'm gonna play it to everyone...and I'm so glad that since I departed Guernsey you've found some new singing partners (but why no Ronan we were spectacular at singing along with him!!!???!!!) And thank you so very much for the money it will be well spent on a suitably enormous drinking frenzy when Millie arrives!!!

Toby - You are a true darling and I'm going to send Elaina back to Guernsey with express orders to come to your office and lick your face from me!!! I haven't seen make up this year and not worn any since New Year's Eve so I fear I may look a tad like Coco the Clown until I get the hang of it again...but thank you so very, very much....believe me it will be adoringly carried from now on...I'm just awe struck to be in possession of some again..I will be transformed!!! Photos of me wearing make up will be posted on website for future proof of usage!!!

The Skidds, Mat and Piper - Thank you so much for the card and the "useful" French phrases - should I happen across a French man with a small penis I will be sure to use useful phrase number 2 - Although I fear the beer tasting like piss phrase number 1 may come in more handy...I find it funny however that the guy who writes these "useful" phrases in my birthday card has a name like Piper as if you drop the "r' from his surname you have "Pipe" and that's French for blowjob!!! Mat I've not seen the wife and kids yet but are you the Matty Mini Weener that the girls in the Go Go bars in Bangkok keep asking me about??? If it is you then they say they still love you long time and can't wait for you to return - 5 dollar!!!!
